Got Stress? Build the village Back

The cost of convenience has cost us our community—our village to support us in our day‑to‑day lives.

Everyone—and I do mean everyone—is overwhelmed. Instead of feeling the joy of our blessings—family, home, work—it can all begin to feel like a heavy backpack we carry day in and day out. We start to feel burdened instead of blessed.

Whew. Just writing that makes me want to cry.

I’ve been there. When I originally wrote this, I had just lost my 13‑year‑old pup and was still holding a lot of weight on my shoulders: a single mum raising two young boys and still recovering from a lifetime of burnout. My nervous system has been on overload—yes, from childhood trauma—but mostly because responsible, reliable care to help stabilize me wasn’t available. I didn’t even know what I needed at the time.

We all need a break from time to time. We all need reminders. But if every single one of us is bumping around on fumes, just shuffling along, when do we say:

I need help.

I need support.

I need something else.

For a long time, I was mystified by how everyone seemed to be making it all look so pretty while struggling so deeply inside. People weren’t sharing their truths—their traumas, betrayals, infidelity, job loss, miscarriage, foreclosure, health challenges, mental and emotional struggles. The list goes on. There is no need to walk this alone.

It's Time to Set the Backpack Down

So I devote myself—intentionally and discerningly—to building and cultivating connection for us all. Community held in a safe, welcoming container. A village built as sanctuary. A place of respite from everyday life, where you can set down the backpack for a while. Feel nourished and strengthen your resolve to live your life more joyfully and lighter.

We Need Each Other

Here, you are heard. Held. Seen. And, most importantly in my opinion, understood.

We all crave belonging. We all long to be deeply loved. This space exists as a reminder of that. Think of it as walking into your coziest spot where you feel completely at ease: warm, safe, comforted, and filled with love. Safe in connection to self and others.

A Sanctuary to Set It All Down

If any part of this resonates, it’s because your body and soul already recognize this truth. This is the soil from which my work, my circles, and this sanctuary were born. We need each other, and you belong here.

I don’t need to meet you or know your life story to hold this as inherently true, now and always:

I love you.

Know that.

Hold that.

I am here to support you to the best of my ability.

“We are all just walking each other home.”

Thank you for being here.

With infinite love and gratitude,

Nell
